In a mixing bowl, sift in the flour, salt & baking powder.
Add the sugar and mix well with your KARIBE whisk.
Pour in some essence, followed by water at regular intervals to form a dough. Do not make the dough too wet but make it soft.
Keep kneading the dough to render it softer and smoother.
Leave it to rest for a minimum of 1hr, overnight is best!
Divide into 8 small pieces and make dough balls out of it.
Heat some oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
Once the oil is hot enough to fry, put these dumplings in the oil and fry them. Ensure the heat is lowered to allow the dumplings to cook through.
With your KARIBE slotted spoon, flip them over to fry from both the sides.
Take them out of the oils once done and put on paper towels to drain any excessoil. The dumplings should look golden once done. Crunchy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside
Allow to cool and serve as desired.
