Tip 1: Seasoning My New Cast Iron Skillet?
- Gently dampen a cloth or paper towel.
- Gently massage the oiled cloth or paper towel on your selected cast iron cookware.
Tip 2: How Do I Restore My Rusted Cast Iron Skillets & Frying Pans?
- Preheat your oven to 350°F.
- Use a steel wool and scrub the skillet until the rust stains fade.
- Wash the skillet with warm water and dish soap.
- Dry the skillet with paper towels.
- Apply a small amount of cooking oil to the skillet. Oil the entire pan.
- Place the skillet upside down in your oven. Place a sheet of aluminum foil on the bottom rack to catch any oil drips. Heat the skillet for one hour at 350°F.
- Turn off the oven and let the skillet cool in the oven.
Tip 3: How Do I Clean My Cast Iron Pan?
- Apply soap to a sponge or a steel wool.
- Gently scrub sponge or steel wool to the skillet.
- Rinse skillet with water.
- Dry skillet with paper towel or cloth.
