Construction of Karibe

We get so many questions. Why is African and Caribbean culture important to Karibe? How do you pronounce Karibe? Why should I cook with Karibe? What is special about your recipes? Where is Karibe located?  What is The Kulture? What is the meaning of Karibe? Although it is flattering with the level of interest, it can be overwhelming at times. Let’s not delay, and in return we can generate a stronger relationship.

Karibe stands for Caribbean Bae. Drop the “C” and change it to a “K”. The “Be” is pronounced as “Bae”. To be honest, whenever someone calls me Bae, it put a smile on my face, LOL. Although we are heavily influenced by the Caribbean, we are certain to show respect and highlight our African roots as well.

When you think of the Caribbean you would think of the vibrant sound from Koffee, beautiful people from the likes of Rihanna, the gorgeous island of Cuba, the rich history of Haiti, art from Daniel Lind-Ramos and so much more. The goal is to one day, when you think of the Caribbean, you will also include Karibe.

African and Caribbean Culture

Our blog, The Kulture will help deliver our company message from people with diverse backgrounds as well as educate the world on African and Caribbean art, history, music, health practices and of course signature recipes!  Senegalese chef Pierre Thiam and Kenyan chef Raphael King’ori N are two examples of that. With such a great impact of tasty food, it is only fitting to have a brand that focus on the representation of African and Caribbean cooking. With all the signature recipes created from the African Diaspora, there is immense history behind it.

The Kulture will educate you on the health benefits as well as provide background on all recipes. Our insight on the health benefits of garlic is a paradigm of what we look to accomplish. Gain the knowledge behind your favorite recipes as well as be inspired to create your own. Be sure to tag @karibecompany so we can share! #CookWithKaribe!

Some would view food as a form of art and makes the experience more enjoyable with background noise.  In all honesty cooking without a vibe will lead to a disaster. The Kulture will spotlight artists that will make cooking that much more fun. Nothing more enjoyable than cooking for loved ones while listening to some of your favorite music. Do you see where I am going with this? Put your soul in your food and do it while you Cook With Karibe! We are excited to share our Kulture with you, and hope you enjoy as much as we like sharing.
